AI Art Studio Webshop

The poster e-commerce market has been overcrowded for a very long time and we have to think about what can distinguish us from this market. Following all the trends connected to AI such as AI image generators, GPT, machine learning, chatbots, etc, shows its application for enhancing products and services which makes it a valuable benefit for most companies. Therefore, the purpose of this project is to identify how a poster business built around an AI-image generator can be a differentiation in the already crowded market of posters.

The Brief

Challenge – How to differentiate in the poster e-commerce market with AI-generated images? This question has been asked to follow the growth and spread of new technologies. Integrating the Midjourney tool for generating images through prompts and to understand if this tool can be applied and where it should be applied when creating a webshop.

Design Process

Define

I started the first step in the process by answering the 5 W questions: What, When, Who, Where, Why.

What? – Webshop for AI-Generated images. Can we sell AI-Generate images and is it going to have an impact on the current market?

When? – Everyone will be able to purchase or make a customized order through the online webshop.

Who? – The webshop will be selling posters in Europe and the USA. Focusing on the target group from 18 – 45 years.

Where? – The webshop is accessible for everyone. An Instagram account has also been established and can direct you to the link of the webshop.

Why? – I wanted to create a product that would make a distinguishment from what is already on the market.

Competitor Analysis

For quantitative research, I interviewed more than 10 people who were targeted users. With this research, I wanted to evaluate their current experience with the existing fitness app features, ideas, and functions, and if there is something that they wish to be integrated into a fitness app.

The next step was conducting a quick competitor analysis to determine the pros and cons of other similar poster webshops. From there, I created personas to understand our users’ needs and goals better.

The main takeaways from this stage included:

1. Wide variety of designs.

2. Information should be supported by real and engaging pictures, staying up-to-date with trends.

3. Avoid errors or technical issues encountered during the purchasing process on the website.

4. Customized features should be included to encourage and allow users to customize their own designs.

5. The design of the webshop should be user-centered and intuitive.

Business Model Canvas

In the realm of designing a web-shop dedicated to AI-generated images, the Business Model Canvas, with its competitive analysis component, proved to be an indispensable tool. By identifying the strengths and weaknesses of existing markets selling online posters, I was able to pinpoint opportunities for differentiation in our web-shop for AI-Generated images. This analysis allowed me to craft a unique value proposition that sets me apart in the market.

Personas

Personas guided my content strategy, ensuring that product descriptions, visuals, and messaging resonated authentically with the distinct personas I had developed. By placing these personas at the heart of the design process, I was able to create a web-shop that speaks directly to the desires and expectations of the user base.

Ideate

In envisioning and crafting the AI Art Webshop, I’ve embraced a set of pioneering ideas that define the essence of the platform. These ideas reflect the commitment to delivering an exceptional experience to art enthusiasts and creators alike.

1.Customized poster

2.Variety of designs centralized on different aspects.

3.Fast and convenient delivery.

4.The design of the webshop should be user-centered and intuitive.

5.Information should be supported by real and engaging pictures, staying up-to-date with trends.

Wireframes

The wireframes of the webshop have been built to display the highest priority consent such as the navigation bar, functionality, information flow, and the main layout of the website to drive users toward important actions.

Learnings

Always keep in mind the problem that you are trying to solve.

Collect data, user research, and interviews in person.

The main issue I faced was the tight deadline I had for this project. Because of the time constraints I had to create the webshop in Shopify.

Research and testing are both very important tools to make sure the design is created with intention.

Feedback from peers and users it’s crucial and beneficial for both personal growth and design improvement throughout the process.
